So, fed up with buying waste my money type presents for the sake of it, at Christmas I booked a family holiday to North Devon for grown up children and grandchildren. I intend to only buy presents to make memories from and not wasteful gifts, moving forward.
We went to a little village called Croyde, its where my soul lives, and had a 5 day break in the first week of the Easter holidays. Unbelievably, we spent two of the days on the beach, getting sunburnt with the children playing in the sea! To think, a few years ago it was snowing at Easter! I actually first went to this location as a child, took my children there and now taking grandchildren. It was so lovely and even more unbelievably, there were no arguments or fallings out, just smiles, laughs and fun. It was worth every single penny and I hope will live with us forever as a special memory.

I am now going to have to do more than my 10,000 steps per day to negate all of the food I consumed. Its time to get Summer ready and spend more time outdoors. It’s great news that all of our centres have outdoor space where we can eat lunch and enjoy the sun.

OSiT GREEN TEAM MONTHLY HIGHLIGHTS
As most of you know, each of our OSiT centres have their own local chosen charity that is very close to their hearts. Over the past year our staff have gone above and beyond to support their charities in anyway they can.
We have competed 107 hours of volunteering, delivered over £2000 in food shops, and we are very proud to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our clients and everyone who donated, we have raised an amazing £16,754.01 collectively for our chosen charities between April 2024 and March 2025.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, your support will truly make such a difference to these charities and the very important work they do!
Water Saving Tips
Take shorter showers Shaving just 2 minutes off a 10-minute shower can save £73 a year on water and energy bills and up to 20 litres of water per person per day.
Use eco settings on appliances Set your dishwasher and washing machine to eco mode to reduce water usage and lower your energy consumption without compromising performance.
Fix leaky toilets A leaky loo — whether a trickle, ripple, or full flow — can waste 200–400 litres of water a day and add hundreds of pounds to your yearly energy bills.
Reduce your weekly washes Cutting out just two laundry cycles a week could save you £46 per year on your water and energy bills.
